Aditya confirms the resemblance between Dhoom Dhaam and Raat Baaki plot
Aditya was initially set to make his grand Bollywood debut with the film, titled Raat Baaki, starring Katrina and Fawad, backed by Karan Johar. According to the portal, industry sources noticed an uncanny resemblance between Raat Baaki and Dhoom Dhaam. When asked if the two films had the same plot, Aditya confirmed, “That’s true. It’s the same story. But we tweaked it a little bit. We made it contemporary and a story of today’s times.”
Raat Baaki was scheduled to go on floors in 2016. However, after the Pulwama attack, actors from across the border were banned from being cast in Bollywood films. There were reports that Fawad would be replaced, but eventually, the film was shelved. Aditya later made his directorial debut with Uri – The Surgical Strike (2019), which became a sleeper blockbuster.
